“The Battle of Britain – Live in the U.K.”, the first, official Cut's live album, is coming out this Saturday on legendary Italian indie label Gamma Pop. Recorded during our February 2011 UK tour, “BOB” is a true sonic testimonial of the band's live set. Most of the album was recorded on 19/02/2011 at The Pilgrim in Liverpool. From 28/09 you can listen to a preview of the album’s 14 tracks (and watch the brand new live video) on rockit. From the beginning of next month you will find the album at the band's shows and through the Ghost Records/Gamma Pop on line mail order. The new ...A Toys Orchestra EP, Rita Lin Songs, will be released on May 24th.
The EP contains a Duran Duran cover (!!!), the Italian version of "Celentano" (from Midnight Talks), the remix of "Plastic Romance" and THREE unreleased tracks.
Many musicians and friends have been involved; among them Enrico Gabrielli, Enzo Cimino (Mariposa), Andrea Appino (Zen Circus), Rodrigo D’Erasmo (Afterhours) e Fausto Ferrara (ex –Toys).

As previously announced, A Classic Education will play at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Spain. Their performance will take place on May 28th and will present the songs the band included in their fortunate EP Hey There Stranger and in their forthcoming debut album (recorded at the Rear House studios in Brooklyn, NY).

L'Altra: new album
It will be released today by Acuarela (distr. Audioglobe) the new album of the band.
Almost 6 years have passed since their last and acclaimed output of the stormy collaboration between the singer-keyboardist Lindsay Anderson and the singer-guitarist Joseph Desler Costa, Different Days, released by Hefty in 2005.
This new record sees the band redefine the contoursof their ballads and widen their style thanks to the collaboration with Charles Rumback (Colorist, Via Tania), Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv, Sons of Magdalene), Josh Abrams (Bonnie Prince Billy) and Marc Hellner (Pulseprogramming).

Arrington de Dionyso - record and tour
Second album for Malaikat dan Singa, the project that sees the Old Time Relijun frontman getting to grips with self-taught Indonesian language.
Recorded at the Dub Narcotic Studio in Olympia with members of Lake and Angelo Spencer et les Hauts Sommets, Suara Naga will be published, as the previous, self-titled, album, by K Records.

US tour for A Classic Education
The band lands in the States next week for the South by Southwest, the musical festival in Austin, Texas, where they were already named best new act last year by Spin Magazine and by the well known blog Brooklyn Vegan. Here is an interview with Spinner.
After the SXSW, the band will start their US tour as opening act for the British Sea Power (Rough Trade): The two bands will take 27 shows, leaving from New York and touching towns such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver, Portland, San Diego and Dallas.
The band has just finished the recording of their first full length album at the Rear House in Brooklyn. The record will be released after this Spring; in the meantime, here's a preview.

This is OvO.
What they do is not easy to file. Not noise, not metal, not doom, not punk, not rock and roll, even if there’s a little bit af all these genres. Sure it’s not free, nor avant, and definitely not improv.
For once, yes, we can really say we can’t file a band.
They released records on Load, Bar La Muerte and Blossoming Noise.
The last one (Crocevia) was released by Load in 2009.
Their performances are legendary and brought them (from 2000 to nowadays), to play about 600 shows all over the world, from Europe to Mexico, from North America to Israel.

Banjo Or Freakout, the tour.
First real Italian tour for Banjo Or Freakout (aka Alessio Natalizia, known in Italy for his past as member of Disco Drive and of the kraut techno project Walls on Kompakt) to present his self-titled debut album on Memphis Industries.

Cut, UK TOUR, split and video!
Cut are back in the UK for a 9 gig tour.
Next Saturday, Feb 19th, they will be in Liverpool to present their first release made in England, a cd split with other two bands, Go Heeled (Liverpool, UK) and Lions Rampant (Cincinnati, USA).
Each band has contributed to the release with three songs; Cut's ones are "Awesome", “Wait!” (unrleased track taken from the session in USA for "Annihilation Road”) and a cover yet to be revealed.

Alessandro Fiori racconta storie dei nostri giorni e lo fa attingendo ai suoi tanti interessi e agli artisti (Raymond Carver, Julio Cortazar, il Jannacci di ”Giovanni Telegrafista”, Piero Ciampi, il primo Lucio Dalla, Ivan Graziani, Francis Bacon...) che in un modo o nell’altro ispirano le sue canzoni, i suoi scritti e la sua pittura.
Alessandro Fiori è uno dei giovani artisti più rappresentativi della scena musicale italiana, e difficilmente può essere accostato per stile ad altri.

Hello, Everyone.
It breaks my heart to inform you all that Charlie Cooper, my better half in Telefon Tel Aviv, passed away on January 22nd.
We have been friends since high school, and began making records together a decade ago. We have been so fortunate to tour the world together, while at the same time having a massive amount of laughs at one another's expense.
Aside from Charlie's singular genius and musical gifts, I can tell you that he was a total sweetheart of a guy, and a loving friend and confidant to people everywhere. His musicianship was surpassed only by his greater gift to the world - his warmth, his generosity, his unquenchable humor, and his undying loyalty to those whom he loved. In the spirit of honorable mention, however, I should mention that he had a shoe collection that was marvelous, knowledge of hip-hop that was profound, and knowledge of wine that was subtle.
He is survived by a sister, a neice, a nephew, his mother, his stepfather, me, and more adoring friends than the Universe has dark matter. As such, his family and I ask for your discretion and consideration of our privacy during these extremely turbulent waters.

New Settlefish album
Two years after "The Plural Of The Choir" (and its critical success), here comes "Oh Dear!", third full length for the Bologna band. The new album, more powerful, poppy and in your face, was been recorded by Fabio Magistrali, Bruno Germano and Settlefish. It was then mixed in Texas by John Congleton (The Paper Chase, Explosions In The Sky, Polyphonic Spree, 90 Day Men).
With "Oh Dear!" Settlefish prove definitely (in case they still needed to prove something...) to be a mature band and moreover that they absolutely deserve to overshoot beyond italian borders....

The band known as El Guapo won't exist longer.
Forget that name, now there is Supersystem.
No further changes respect last concerts, just joshua Blair became definitively major part of the band.

Yuppie flu : the new album Toastmaster
The 4th of April has been released the new record of Yuppie Flu, still by the label Homesleep.
The title of the album recall the jolly mark the band gave to the new work.
The 11 songs have at the same time direct impact and complicated weave, they sound rock and have refined arrangements, pierce into your head and don't leave it, they are so typical yuppie flu songs.
You can feel that the band enjoied very much working on this record, they had fun, and often, when this happens, the result is an excellent record.
